Learn to Write a Dissertation

What? You expected some other advice from us? For someone who signed up for writing a dissertation we can tell only one thing: learn to write a dissertation. After all, you are doing this for a certain reason, don’t you? You write a dissertation to get a degree, new horizons, bla-bla-bla…
 
Anyways, we have studied the situation and discovered: most of the students do not know what ‘to write a dissertation’ actually is. Or do not know the process. Here are the most typical problems in a quest that are being passed to write a dissertation.
 
Problem #1: Not My Idea…
 
To write a dissertation means to introduce a new idea. It should not be researched previously, at least under the same title. To write a dissertation does not mean to compile the sources together under your title. Unfortunately, this is what many students do. And they are considered lucky enough to avoid accusations of plagiarism. As to the main rule, remember: to write a dissertation means to do your own scientific research.
 
Problem #2: Do You Know Where My Supervisor Is?
 
Raise your hands those of you who think a dissertation supervisor is the most important person in a problem called “How to write a dissertation properly”? Not many, that is for sure. However, the dissertation supervisor is the person you need to keep in constant touch with. Only this person will give you some hints as to how to write a dissertation.
 
Problem #3: Who Said I Need to Write a Dissertation?
 
This is the problem any one of you will come across. Sooner or later you will ask yourself why you need to write a dissertation. And when you ask yourself, this should be a signal. It will mean you need a little timeout.
